ConnectX-9 Prototype Listings: A Practical Qualification Checklist

A public manual is one checkpoint

NVIDIA publicly documents the C9210 900-9X91Q-00RC-ST0, C9220 900-9X91Q-00RV-ST0 and PQC-ready C9240 900-9X91Q-00RN-ST0. The current exact-code ordering rows mark all three as Prototype. That is useful evidence for research and qualification, but it does not establish general availability, a delivery date or a production firmware commitment.

Read the exact bandwidth wording

The C9210 and C9220 rows describe 200Gb/s and 400Gb/s bandwidth, respectively. Do not multiply those figures by the two physical ports without an explicit configuration specification. Their host interfaces differ as well: PCIe 4 x16 for C9210, PCIe 5 x16 for C9220, and PCIe 6 x16 for the cited C9240. A larger family number does not imply the same host-interface requirement across every model.

Translate PQC ready into testable requirements

The exact rows state that these variants are PQC ready. For procurement, identify the required algorithm, protocol, key handling, software stack and applicable certification separately. The readiness label alone does not confirm that a particular security workflow is enabled in the target software release.

Include the owner-confirmed OCP configurations

The owner-confirmed C9210P and C9220P configurations are OCP 3.0 SFF SuperNICs with two QSFP112 cages, internal-lock retention, enabled crypto and secure boot, and a PQC Ready designation. C9210P specifies 200Gb/s bandwidth and PCIe 4.0 x16; C9220P specifies 400Gb/s and PCIe 5.0 x16. These technical facts are usable owner-sourced product information. The opened public manual does not independently verify these OCP order codes, so its stand-up-card dimensions, cooling and lifecycle must not be transferred to them.

A production qualification checklist

Record the full owner-confirmed ordering identity and its source, server and firmware qualification, power and thermal requirements, accessory bill of materials and actual batch identity. Keep current availability separate from a public manual’s lifecycle label. A public ConnectX-9 deployment can motivate architecture research, but it does not certify a particular listed or prototype code. Publish the useful supported fields and retain only actual unresolved fields for review.

Independent technical selection guidance. No claim of a SwitchInfra installation, supplied batch, certified performance or customer outcome.
