Product questions & answers
What split does MFS1S50-H010V provide?
A 200G QSFP56 head branches into two 100G QSFP56 ends over a 10 m active optical assembly.
Are its 100G tails ordinary four-lane QSFP28 ports?
No. The branches use two 50G-PAM4 lanes and QSFP56 shells. Equal 100G totals do not establish a match to a four-lane 25G-NRZ QSFP28 link.
Which protocols and power values are documented?
NVIDIA describes HDR-to-HDR100 and 200GbE-to-two-100GbE use. Budget up to 5 W at the head and 3.5 W at each branch.
What lifecycle status is recorded?
The exact current CX7 row says EOL [HVM], and the family is listed under products no longer for sale. Earlier HVM entries are historical release evidence.
Where does forward error correction take place?
The FAQ places FEC in the switch and network adapter. Match the supported endpoint configuration; a cable does not independently fix a FEC mismatch.
Why can a cable have two minimum bend radii?
The connector exit generally needs a larger bend radius than the cable body. Follow the exact assembly drawing and leave adequate space behind the rack door.
