Product questions & answers
Can I select a replacement by appearance or wattage alone?
Use the manufacturer replacement-parts table for the complete switch model and order code. Matching dimensions, connector shape or PSU wattage alone does not establish compatibility.
Is an external laser source a conventional pluggable transceiver?
NVIDIA documents ELS components separately for its photonics switch systems. Use the switch-specific ELS order code and service procedure; a conventional OSFP transceiver is not established as a substitute.
Why is the connector wording held for SN6810-LD and SN6800-LD?
The reviewed Spectrum-6 hardware manual uses MMC-16, while NVIDIA’s Ethernet-switching marketing table uses MMC-12. The product identity is documented, but the connector field needs manufacturer clarification before cable selection.
Does a public ordering or compatibility entry prove stock and delivery?
No. Record the manufacturer’s published lifecycle wording separately from commercial availability. Stock, lead time, software entitlement, support and warranty require a current supplier quote.
Is SN6600 the same configuration as SN6600-LD?
No. The manual distinguishes air-cooled, AC-powered SN6600 from liquid-cooled, DC-busbar SN6600-LD. Keep full model names and ordering codes separate in designs and case-study claims.
Which listed Spectrum-6 systems use co-packaged optics?
The ordering table identifies SN6810-LD and SN6800-LD as CPO systems. SN6600 instead lists OSFP cages. Their optical and infrastructure designs should not be treated as interchangeable.
