Catalyst 9300 BOM: C9300L Uplinks, UB/UXB, HXN and RF Variants

Read the whole ordering string

Use the full identifier on the BOM. The table separates chassis, a network module, spare-order variants and an unresolved software identifier. It is a comparison checklist, not a stock list. The A and E designations correspond to Network Advantage and Network Essentials; the delivered unit’s license ownership, subscriptions and support rights still require verification.

2Q and 4X change the uplink plan

Select the C9300L fixed uplink layout from the required peer ports. A C9300X network module is not an upgrade path for a fixed-uplink C9300L. Check the exact chassis in the installation guide before adding modules, optics or stack parts. Do not substitute a nearby model without recording which ports, power or software requirements change.

UB, UXB and HXN need different checks

For a high-scale UB/UXB replacement, verify stack membership and supported combinations rather than assuming all C9300 models can join it. For HXN, count the endpoints needing each rate and the required PoE mode before calculating the power budget. Include the power supply configuration and behavior after a supply failure in the acceptance plan.

Is the related NM-2C product the RF variant?

The related C9300X-NM-2C product is a different catalog identity from C9300X-NM-2C-RF. Cisco’s Refresh page establishes the RF model, but does not establish our batch, stock, certification or warranty. Keep RF explicitly on the inquiry if required, and ask for provenance and readable labels. Do not silently remove RF when comparing quotes.

What belongs on a complete RFQ?

List chassis, power supplies and regional cords, uplinks, peer optics and fiber, stack hardware, software entitlements, requested condition, quantities and delivery destination. Keep SC9300UK9-177 pending until an exact ordering record and entitlement scope are provided; do not quote it as a switch or assume zero price from a spreadsheet cell. Ask the supplier to flag substitutions and exclusions before approval.
