Description

MMA1B00-C100D is a QSFP28 SR4 multimode transceiver with an MPO/UPC interface. Its 100GbE reach depends on the fiber grade: up to 70 m on OM3 or 100 m on OM4.

Keep fiber grade with the reach figure

The module carries four 25 Gb/s channels at 850 nm. NVIDIA lists a separate 40GbE mode reaching up to 100 m on OM3; that distance is not the 100GbE OM3 limit. Record the intended mode and installed fiber grade together.

Check the complete optical path

Match the QSFP28 host, supported firmware and lane mode, then check both connector faces, polarity and channel loss. This UPC interface must not be directly mated to an APC connector. The APC cable comparison pages elsewhere in the catalogue are not compatible-kit recommendations.

Does a 100 m requirement always fit this module?

No. For 100GbE, the documented 100 m limit requires OM4; OM3 is limited to 70 m. Qualify the actual channel, including its panels and connections.
