Description

MMA4Z00-NS400-T is an Ethernet 400G SR4 single-port OSFP transceiver with an MPO-12/APC interface. NVIDIA specifies up to 30 m on OM3 or 50 m on OM4 multimode fiber.

Qualify the flat-top cage and channel

Its four channels use 100G-PAM4. The flat-top shell relies on the heatsink on the ConnectX-7 OSFP cage; an OSFP-shaped port alone does not establish host or cooling support. The documented 50 m OM4 channel assumes two optical patch panels.

Keep endpoint and breakout modes explicit

Confirm the exact host, firmware, opposite transceiver and lane mapping before selecting a cable. NVIDIA describes a 200G mode on a two-channel splitter branch; this does not establish compatibility with every 200G module. Its APC interface must not be directly mated to a UPC connector.
