Description

MFP7E10-N003 is the 3 m multimode straight crossover assembly, with a four-channel MPO/APC connection at each end. It does not provide the two branches of the MFP7E20 family.

Map one endpoint to the other

Record the two endpoint ports, intended lane mode and routed length before selecting the assembly. Confirm the connector orientation and polarity for the complete path. A cable does not convert signaling formats or establish host and transceiver support.

Choose topology before choosing length

Use the separate MFP7E20 1:2 assembly only when the documented port mapping calls for two branches. The shared MPO name is insufficient: these cable ends are APC and must not be directly mated to UPC interfaces such as MMA1B00-C100D.

Selection questions

Does straight crossover mean the cable has a splitter?

No. E10 connects a four-channel end to another four-channel end; E20 routes a four-channel connection into two two-channel branches. Confirm the required topology against both endpoint specifications.
